Curves Complete!

A while back I did a free trial of a new program called Curves Complete.  I really enjoyed the program but at the time was unable to fully commit to it.  I'm happy to say that is no longer the case and on Monday Jan. 4, 2013 I'll be restarting the program!  I REALLY liked the recipes they provide and it was great to be able to track my progress through Curves since I already LOVE the work out.  I think this will be a great program for me and really will be complete since it incorporates diet AND exercise unlike WW which is solely diet.

CURVES!

I like Curves because it is an all female gym but it is all REAL women too.   I also like fact that it is only a 30 minute workout and it combines strength training and cardio.  We all know the importance of strength training right?  Lean muscle burns fat even when you are sleeping -.- zzzzz...
Plus, now they have Curves with Zumba (see the post below) which is so exciting!!
I know several of my readers are in North Georgia so here is a video from the Kennesaw Curves with Zumba!

 ZUMBA!

Today was my first day of Zumba class.  It was great!  You can follow the link above (the title) to get to the official Zumba website.  Basically what this exercise is:  A man from Columbia forgot his regular aerobic music one day and he had to improvise with what he had with him, salsa music.  His class LOVED it and the rest is history.
I really enjoyed my class today.  The instructor was great and not as tiny as a stick which I really like.  We danced to salsa music and the the Cha Cha.  As of right now I think this will be something I'll be able to stick with!  Here is an example of Zuma:

I REALLY hate the term "Work Out" because to me anything that involves work is rarely fun and usually if something is not fun I'm not going to do it for very long.  My motto is "I'll try anything once, twice if it is fun, and three times if it feels good"  (minds out of the gutter people, you know who you are, focus!)  So, I may try any exercise once but unless I enjoy doing it or it improves the way I feel I'm unlikely to stick to it for any length of time.  So, I'm going to devote this page to exercise routeins that I've tried, enjoyed, and have made me feel better.

Stay tuned for future updates!
